Using an array of ancient
military units like archers, cavalry and heavy infantry, and a host of actions
like the scout, rally and flank, players battle each other over valuable land.
During the heat of battle, ambush, skirmish and surround your opponent to give
your men a better chance at victory. When all else fails, call on your mercenary
forces when your tiring army faces defeat.
Battlefields of Olympus is a
turn based light-strategy game with some hand management. The numerous tactical
choices, combined with a limited military force and the unexpected appearance of
Ares on the battlefield, give the game its strategic component. The relatively
simple game mechanics make it easy to learn and play, even if you aren't a
tactical genius.

Battlefields of Olympus comes in a 5.4 x 4 x 1 inch box with top and bottom (not
a tuckbox). The two 50 card decks are separated by a divider. Cards are slightly
larger than standard playing cards at 3.625 x 2.5 inches. Rule sheet and quick
reference guide are in full color.
